Red River Valley -- 2nd Position

The next step could be to learn the song Cross Harp, or 2nd position. Here one plays the C harp in the key of G, and here it is necessary to bend notes. Hitting these bent notes accurately to play a melody is one of the most difficult skills in diatonic harp. But the reward of Cross Harp melody playing is a bluesy, slurring style that opens the door to jazzy improvisation on any tune you manage to accomplish
