"Georgia On My Mind" with guitar
You
can bend and play with great tone. All any beginner or intermediate needs
to jump quantum leaps in bending and tone is the correct embouchure and the
correct use of air mouth and throat.
You might be someone with no musical experience.
- Maybe you tried to get "the sound" before, but failed.
- Maybe you are a good harmonica player now and want better tone and
bending.
In 62 minutes, Jon coaches, demonstrates, informs, inspires, motivates and
relaxes you in a lesson designed to get you bending 2 draw, 3 draw, 4 draw and 1
draw with rich, clear tone. You’ll learn the secrets of throat articulation, and
of vibratto. And then Jon will reveal the amazingly powerful start-bending
technique that gets total beginners bending, and puts intermediates in control
of of their bends. This is the lesson that will put you over the top!
We promise: even one listening will advance your tone and vibrato
immeasurably. Work with it daily, every day, for a week and you'll experience
break-through results in every aspect of your harmonica playing, and jump
several levels of bending proficiency. And yes, if you use Windows Media 10, you
can burn this to CD.
Chugging is the term we usually use to decribe fast-sounding rhythmic
train music. Famous chuggers are MadCat Ruth (the best in my opinion),
Sonny Terry, Deford Bailey, John Mayall. Chugging uses chords, both
draws and blows, and a catchy repitive articulation. Once you get
fairly good at it, you can bring the house down. Most people start
with slow pattern that imitates the rhythmic of them old pistons,
then build up speed, play a trainwhistle, slow down, build up speed
again, stop, and shout "all aboard" again.
Although it sounds fast and difficult, Jon uses instruction,
experience, information and inspiration to help you start in on the
popular harp style immediately, and then get better and better. Because
it fosuses on rhythm and how to turn yourself into a human rhythm
machine, this lesson is essential for every body, beginning through
intermediate.
Want to learn more, a lot more, about your little harpoon?
Let Jon take you on a guided, jam-along tour of the seven different keys in which you can play one diatonic "C" harmonica. Along with a quick review of 1st and 2nd positions, you'll learn riffs and songs for 3rd position (C harp in the key of D minor), 4th position (C harp in the key of A minor), 5th position, (C harp in the key of E minor), 6th position (C harp in the key of B minor), and 12th position, (C harp in the key of F.)
Jon teaches I-IV-V solo progressions in 3rd, 4th, 5th
and 6th positions, and gives you plenty of jamming in every position. This complete harmonica experience is 61 minutes long.
When you purchase, we will e-mail you extra notation and notes relating to this deep, informative and fun lesson.
